Price is a message, not a number
New founders treat price like a math problem: cost plus a margin. But price is the first thing a customer reads about your value — and cheap is not the friendly choice you think it is.
Price too low and you signal “disposable.” You also attract the customers who complain most and pay least. Price with confidence and you attract people who take the result seriously — and you buy yourself the margin to actually deliver.
Don’t guess in private. Test it. Put two prices in front of two groups and watch what happens to conversion and to who shows up. The number that feels slightly uncomfortable to say out loud is usually closer to right than the one that feels safe.
