Permission is a trap
Somewhere along the way we learned to wait for a yes. The right degree, the investor’s nod, the mentor’s blessing, the moment we finally feel qualified. That moment doesn’t arrive — and while you wait, someone less prepared and more willing is already in the market learning.
Permission is a trap because it puts your progress in someone else’s hands. Proof doesn’t. A landing page with sign-ups, a customer who paid, twenty conversations that all say the same thing — nobody grants you those. You go and get them.
That’s the whole posture behind building without an MBA, investors, or a head start. Stop asking whether you’re allowed. Run the experiment. The market’s answer is the only permission that ever mattered.
