AI is your first hire

The AI-native founder doesn’t use AI to sound impressive. They use it to stay small.

Think of it as a hire, not a wand. It won’t have the taste to make the hard calls — that’s still you. But it will happily do the tireless 80%: draft the outreach, summarise the interviews, build the first version of the spreadsheet, argue the other side of your idea before you commit money to it.

The trick is delegation, not conversation. Give it the same clear brief you’d give a sharp junior: context, the goal, the format, an example. Vague in, vague out.

Do this well and one person runs what used to take a small team. That’s the whole unfair advantage — leverage, from your kitchen table.
